Historically, boarding begins at 11:30 AM on embarkation day and the ship departs promptly at 4:00 PM after every guest has completed the mandatory safety drill. Due to enhanced COVID-19 health and safety protocols, it may take more time to move all guests through the terminal. We recommend that guests arrive in Miami the day before sailing to avoid any issues on their arrival day. More guests miss the ship’s departure due to severe weather and missed flights than for any other reason.
The ship returns to the port by 7:00 AM the day of disembarkation. Due to the time it takes to clear Customs and Immigration at the cruise terminal and to navigate security checkpoints at the airport, we do not recommend any flight scheduled prior to noon from the Miami International Airport.

The address of Port of Miami is 1015 North America Way, Miami, Florida. However, it is easier to simply tell the taxi driver or ride-sharing driver that you are going to Port of Miami, the cruise ship terminal. There will be directional boards to help you to find the specific terminal for our ship, the Norwegian Pearl. We will announce the exact terminal number closer to sailing.
Airport to Pier: Norwegian Cruise Line offers ground transfers between the airport and the pier and vice versa. To arrange for transfers, have your airline documentation ready, log in into your myNCL account (an option to purchase your transfer will appear in Step 4 of your Online Check-In) or call NCL at 800.327.7030 at least 4 days prior to sailing.
Guests Staying at the Pre-Cruise Hotel: For your ease and convenience, guests staying at the Pre-Cruise Hotel can purchase transportation from the hotel to the pier on Embarkation Day! Your luggage will be loaded onto the motor coach by our team, and you will be assisted at the pier by the cruise line porters. No tips or lifting necessary!
Coach transportation from the hotel to the pier costs $30/person advanced reservation required. Guests staying at the Pre-Cruise Hotels may register for the Pier Transfer by completing the Ground Transportation Form. You will receive an email confirmation with further instructions regarding the Pier Transfer times approximately 15 days prior to the cruise. The fee will be added to your account and reservation.

Approval to embark or disembark mid-cruise may be allowed only in cases of emergencies. Please note that embarking or disembarking mid-cruise may result in a violation of the Passenger Vessel Act (Jones Act), resulting in a fine starting at $798 per person.
Boarding Time in Ports of Call:
Prior to sailing, Norwegian will provide Jazz Cruises with each guest’s Norwegian Cruise Line Reservation Number. We will pass along this number to you as soon as we receive it from Norwegian. Please note that this number is different from your Jazz Cruises' Reservation Number. The Norwegian Cruise Line Reservation Number will allow you to Check In for your cruise via Norwegian’s website. This will give you access to your stateroom information, E-Docs, luggage tags, and allow you to purchase Drink Packages, Wi-Fi Packages, Excursions, and onboard experiences such as Spa appointments. For any questions regarding the Check In process, please call Norwegian at 1.800.327.7030.
Online check-in will ONLY be available to start and complete once a reservation is between 21 days - 3 days prior to sailing.
Guests who FULLY complete their online check-in prior to 3 days/72 hours before their sail date, can now access and download their e-docs via their MyNCL account and/or the Cruise Norwegian mobile app anytime through and including the day of sailing.
Guests must be 18 years of age or older to complete the online check-in.

Using your Norwegian Cruise Line Reservation Number, you will Check-In for your cruise via Norwegian’s website or app. This will give you access to your stateroom information, E-Docs, and luggage tags. Please print your luggage tags and affix to your checked luggage after your flight but prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. For any questions, please call Norwegian at 1.800.327.7030.
Shore Excursions can be booked directly through Norwegian Cruise Line. Click here to view the available Shore Excursions. An updated listing of Shore Excursions is available approximately 6 months prior to the first sailing of each cruise destination season. Once onboard, Shore Excursions can also be purchased at the ship's Shore Excursion Desk.

Please note: Specialty dining can be pre-booked online for parties of up to eight guests. If you'd like to pre-book specialty dining for larger parties, please call us at 800-327-7030 for assistance. Our reservation agents will also be able to assist you if you would like to pre-book specialty dining for your group using more than one credit card.
