Onboard Experience & Entertainment

The main theatre holds about half of the population of our cruise. Therefore, we provide two main performances each night so that all our guests have the chance to catch the Main Show. During the reservation process, you will select to attend either the 1st Show or 2nd Show. Our 1st Show begins around 5:45pm and the 2nd Show begins around 8:45pm.

Your Dining Time will be the opposite of your Show Time. If you are reserved for the 1st Show, you will dine after the main show. If you are reserved for the 2nd show, you will dine before the main show.

All shows and events are subject to open seating. This means that seats are not reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A guest may hold one seat for their stateroom companion, however, once a show begins, no one may hold a seat of any kind.

For our Main Shows in the evening, the theater will not open until 20 minutes prior to show time. Guests are permitted to queue up prior to the doors opening.

Aboard the Norwegian Pearl, you have a variety of restaurants to choose from that are included at no additional cost as part of your cruise reservation.

You may also wish to dine at one of the Specialty Restaurants aboard the ship. There is typically a surcharge for these restaurants. You can get more information about these restaurants by clicking here.

Room Service is available 24 hours a day throughout the cruise. A $4.95 Room Service breakfast service fee applies to all breakfast orders. A $9.95 Room Service convenience charge applies for all other orders. These charges do not apply to guests staying in The Haven or Suites with butler service.

It depends on the restaurant you choose. Reservations are not required for complimentary dining (i.e., Summer Palace, Indigo, The Garden Café, & The Great Outdoors). These restaurants offer open seating that provides an ample dining space for our guests. Guests that choose to dine at one of the Specialty Restaurants are encouraged to make reservations through Norwegian once you have your Norwegian Cruise Line Reservation Number.

It is recommended to pay particular attention to your reserved Main Show Time (1st Show or 2nd Show) and make your dining plans around your show time. Dinner in the Main Dining Rooms (Indigo & Summer Palace) generally takes 90 minutes. Guests who choose to dine in open seating should arrive to the Dining Room with the party they would like to dine with and will be seated accordingly.

If you are traveling with a group and would like to be seated together, we can arrange a Dining Group for you and your friends. To arrange a Dining Group, please contact us with names of the guests in your party. We can accept requests for Dining Groups until one month prior to the sail date. After that time, you will need to make dining reservations on the ship.

Norwegian has several Specialty Restaurants on the ship. There is a surcharge for dining at these restaurants. In general, it is a good idea to make a reservation for these restaurants. You can make a reservation ahead of the cruise by utilizing Norwegian’s website or by calling Norwegian. You may also make a reservation once you are onboard the ship.
